Reiki and Meditation

Reiki is said to be a great way of enhancing meditation. It brings about relaxation and concentration which is very essential for meditation. In order to achieve particular goals through reiki meditation certain positions should be adopted. Group meditation is also possible through reiki, which can be done through joining hands.

How to do it?

* It’s not necessary that you have to sit in a particular posture. Place your self comfortably and join your hands in a prayerful position.

* This is done to complete the flow of energy , and break any kind of obstacles such as distractions.

* Breathe in and breathe out slowly. Be aware of the air flowing in and out of your body. You can feel your chest rising in and out with every breath taken in.

* Visualize something soothing, for e.g. you can visualize floating in clean and refreshingly blue water. As you float feel the warmth of the water. Imagine yourself being carried gently away by the water.

* Smell a sweet fragrance, inhale the sweet perfume. A sweet aroma relaxes the mind and soul.

* See colorful bubbles around you. Feel the bubbles; imagine the bubbles touching your face.

* See an image inside the bubble, and hold on to that image.

* This image according to reiki experts is a symbol from the infinite source. It’s a special message spelling out healing and love.

* Engrave the image of the bubble in your mind; once you have done it let it go. Know that you can get back the image of the bubble, whenever you want to relax yourself.
* Slowly bring back yourself. Breathe in and breathe out slowly. Feel the atmosphere around you. Slowly open your eyes.

You feel calm and relaxed after this procedure. This technique can be practiced at any time of the day. However if done in the morning it proves to be a great start.
